I get an overwhelming amount of messages everyday asking me how to come up with idea’s for videos or how they should create video’s for their personal brand.

The answer is simple… just be you.

That’s really it. All the bullshit content guru’s out there talking about viral hooks or viral video scripts get me worked up.

Like “shadddup”

The way I come up with content idea’s is to talk about things that i’m passionate about. I talk about experiences or my mindset or a strong opinion that I have at that moment. I only talk about things that i’m passionate about. There is no scripting or “acting”. I feel like everybody that is struggling on content, either lack with the filming and editing part or lack with showing up as themselves.

When you talk about what you’re passionate about then the viewer can feel that through the screen. There is no need to script and write it out when you have a strong passion for something. It’s like holding a conversation, imagine you’re passionate about football and you’re talking to your friend about the game last night. There’s no need to “ideate” or come up with the next thing you’re gonna say, you just say it. You don’t have to think about what you’re gonna say, you’re just reacting to the context of the conversation. Content should be the same way.

Every single video i’ve made I have never sat there and try to think of a video idea, literally. Pick up the camera and shoot. In a way that is a skill. But I think it’s one of the best skills to develop for the world of attention and content. In the long run you’ll beat out everybody that has to sit there wasting time and ideating about the next piece of content meanwhile you’ve made 7 videos already just talking about what you’re passionate about because there isn’t that pressure for you to talk about something you don’t care about. You don’t have to act.

There is literally unlimited content idea’s. You consistently grow and collect new experiences that mold you into a new person with different perspectives on the world. You consistently change. More idea’s (more experience with life) more output and value to give out to the world that could inspire or shed light to someone that is looking for that type of content or can relate to what you’ve gone through, because we are all human beings going through this thing called “life” at the same time.

I don’t talk about politics or religion because that’s what i’ve learned from being a professional but other than that, everything else is free game for content idea’s.

So when i get asked “how do you come up with video idea’s?” that’s my well thought out answer.
